About Seasoned Vet.
The lost art ...( Hip-Hop)
I was born in Boston, Ma. AKA “The Bloody Bean “through out all the criminal activity that has pledge our small but dangerous city Hip-Hop was born also. Hip-Hop was a creative outlet for youth like me at the time to articulate their selves in a more productive way of life. Basically Hip-Hop has saved lives clothed and feed families like myself that’s why I’m in this game that has turned into a very shady business. I own it to Hip-Hop and to those that can’t remember the art that came from “the block “to be put on store shelves of Wal-Mart.
For me it all started when I was losing my mind at the first time of listening to joints like" Eric B. for President and I know you got Soul by Rakim …and got together with some cats in my school/block and was like let's be a crew. Funny thing there was a talent show at the school…we entered but didn’t have any music. So we hooked up with this local DJ name “ Scratch ” he put this beat together and the rest was history.
We did really good @ the school talent show and did alot more Shows as well. For a moment it seem like we where everywhere I.E. local T.V programs , out of state venues and Other Local Talent shows around the city like " The Strand Theater" ( boston's " Apollo " ) and New England Life hall but eventually everyone went their separate ways but I continued to keep performing and showcasing my skills .I've done shows with Red-Man, Smith and Wesson, Roots, and Jurassic Five and was giving the name Seasoned Vet. Because one of this local Maryland DJ I met over on the phone from battling for more than 3 weeks on the radio station hot 97.7 in Boston.
No one could take the title so the station had to retire me so other callers could get a chance to shine. I could go on forever about this adventure of mine and about loving what this art is all about but I'm going to chill and let u enjoy some true independant underground music...one
BTW
