Screams of Cold Winter have risen up like a new moon from the North West UK Gothic metal Music scene. Formed in late 2007, from the remains of a variety of popular and locally successful gothic/metal and metal bands, vocalist Trish, guitarists Spike and Lundie, Bass player Dugald, synth/keys player Paul, and drummer Claire, have joined forces to combine heavy and harmonious guitars with decadent synthscapes and formidable, elegantly delivered female vocals. Whilst still relatively fresh on the UK Gothic Metal Scene, Screams of Cold Winter have begun to carve out their place. Having already secured support slots with acts such as Pro-Jekt, Inkubus Sukkubus, Cybercide, Screaming Banshee Aircrew and Deviant UK, Screams of Cold Winter are making themselves heard both within and outside of the UK goth scene. Whilst maintaining a consistent live presence Screams of Cold Winter are currently writing new, and perfecting existing material for their debut album ‘Della Luna’, which will be released by Casket Music at the beginning of 2009. “This Preston based six piece are a hard working tribute to what contemporary Goth music should be… With this EP the group take melodic vocal elements and splice them in between decadent synth work and a mix of complex riffs and rock hard drumming. .. This is a truly metallic onslaught concentrating on vocal prowess that is designed to fill stadiums with traditional Goths raising their fists to the sky.” Sphere Magazine 2008 “Screams of Cold Winter show a lot of potential and promise… they mix both contemporary and traditional sounding goth music with a heavier style guitar sound that seems to really work for them. However, it is the beautiful and elegantly delivered vocals of Trish that makes this band stand out from the crowd." Insomnia 2008
