Biography
Love and music at first sight, plus a bit of illegal activity in a local graveyard sealed the fates of co-collaborators, Ms. Sassy Kraimspri and Dicky Downfall together forever. Sassy had absconded to sunny Australia from hometown New York City, where she'd been playing in underground punk bands with Patti Smith offspring and working with Cindy Lauper's producers. Dick was songwriter and guitarist for Sydney underground punk legends Smash N' Grab until he decided to follow Ms. Kraimspri's trail of destruction back to Southern Norway. The two have been making sweet music for the sophomore Kraimspri album ever since that fateful night.
Sassy Kraimspri is already a gigging veteran at the ripe age of 25; having notched up shows the world over, ranging from New York City to Sydney, Australia and back again. She has played at the legendary CBGB’s, NXNE, supported Melissa Auf Der Maur and had her first album Dirty White Lies snapped up by the Chinese label October Party Records, and signed a publishing contract with Scarlet Songs Publishing in the UK.
In June 2010, the band (which includes drummer Stonehard Fattnes- from Stavanger metalers Spit- and bassist and Southern Norwegian belle, Lovely Linda Lustsalot) decamped to Kettering, UK to record the Pussy Magnet EP with British producer extrodinaire, Russ Russell (Dimmu Borgir, Napalm Death, The Exploited, The Wildhearts). Following this, the band toured Southern Norway before heading to China for a summer's-end tour finishing up with the Golden Beach Festival in sunny Qindao in front of hundreds of fans. Plans are currently underway for a Norwegian and UK tour in early 2011 in support of the EP release. Also on the cards for 2011 is a sophmore album release and a triumphant return to China.
