In true renaissance style, Sara Simms is a turntablist, producer and DJ. A master of many genres, Sara is here to push the boundaries of Djing and music performance to the limit. Sara Simms studied jazz guitar as an adolescent. Once exposed to art of DJ culture, she dropped out of music school to rock tunes on the 1’s and 2’s. She trained alongside a turntable sensei, who taught her to become an expert turntablist. A vinyl obsession led her to an apprenticeship at Lacquer Channel Mastering; where she learned to cut lacquers alongside the legendary George Graves. As the years went by, Sara gained a reputation as a talented club and battle DJ. She has appeared on DJ Qbert’s Skratch University as a guest professor. Sara has also lived in Berlin, where she studied electronic music production. It has been rumored that Sara has been living in a secret underground lair while she has been creating productions and innovating a new performance style. Be forewarned; a few months of living underground is bound to make anyone a little darker. Simply put, this girl is raw like a sewer.
