In case you haven’t heard the good news, after verification of the votes Upromise declared my video, “Subway Singer” as the winner of the $10,000 towards my student loans! Needless to say, this victory would not have been possible without the help of my amazing family, friends, and fans. Thank you endlessly for your votes and time, and for spreading the word in such a big way! It was so heartwarming to receive support from so many different parts of the world, from strangers to loved ones I have known all my life. This is truly your win as well, and I hope the prizes I receive will allow me more time to write songs that are as special to you as your efforts were to me.

Special thanks to Dan Leksell and Nick Bohl for filming the video!

Thank you!

Hi friends! As some of you already know, I entered a video contest where the winning video gets $10,000 towards their student loans. Out of 88 entries, the judges picked mine as one of the top 4! YAY!! Now, the winner of the 10 grand for college is based COMPLETELY on votes, so I really need your help!! And voting is super easy! Here’s how!

1) Click here: http://xrl.us/Vote4Sarah (direct link) or www.tuition-tales.com (home page to see other finalists) 2) Watch the video (30 seconds – it shows me singing on the Boston subway!) 3) Click vote at the bottom of the screen, and enter your e-mail twice! They ask for your mobile but it is not required. 4) Vote once every 24 hours with every e-mail you have until noon on May 20th.

There are some instant win prizes for voters, like Bed Bath and Beyond and Visa gift cards, so hopefully you can win something too!!

Sarah’s Suggestions On How To Remember to Vote Daily:

1) Make tuition-tales.com your home page until May 20th. 2) Set a daily e-mail reminder in your Google calendar. 3) Set a daily reminder on your cell phone. 4) Sign up for text message/e-mail alerts from me. (Seriously… send me your number and I’ll text you every day!)

Please post the link on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and your other favorite networking sites, and we can really spread the word fast! Your help means so much to me – I know I’ve asked a lot in the past, and I always appreciate your time. Thank you!

No really, thank you!!! Sarah T.

Exciting News – my tune “I’ll Sneak Away” has received quite a bit of recognition in the past few months! In March, the song clinched the win for the Monday open mic competition at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA, and in April was voted 1st place in the Singer/Songwriter Channel out of over 1400 entries right here on ourstage.com (not to mention, the song received 2nd place in music finals!) Most recently, “I’ll Sneak Away” was awarded fourth place in the prestigious nation-wide John Lennon Scholarship Contest. Taken from BMI’s website:

“Established by Yoko Ono in 1997 in conjunction with the BMI Foundation, the John Lennon Scholarships have been made possible through generous donations from Ono with matching funds from Gibson Musical Instruments. Thousands of students representing schools from every state participate.”

Check out the full BMI press release (including my bio and picture linked top right) here: http://www.bmi.com/news/entry/536642

Thanks for all your continued support!
