Ryan Redebaugh, a graduate of NYU, where he studied acting, is returning again to his first love- music. Drawn to the piano at a young age, Ryan's passion for music has developed into the promising beginnings of a singing-songwriting career. Redebaugh has been playing both piano and guitar for many years and later discovered the craft of songwriting while in college. It has been a recent flourish in the creative process of songwriting that has Redebaugh excited to pursue and perform music again. “These are songs that I never expected to be written. I remember struggling for many years while in college trying to write songs. I had it set in my heart that inside of me there was that gift, I just had to find it. After many years of frustrating sessions trying to learn how to write songs on my own, I just about gave up and decided music would just be a hobby and a good tool for release and expression. Then something amazing happened. I started to trust what was coming out in my songwriting about a couple years ago. I let melodies and ideas have a longer life before tossing them aside in disgust. I began to accept and appreciate the product of my inspiration. Eventually songs were being finished and for once I was pleasantly surprised with what was being created.” Redebaugh's music explores a range of life's experiences, including love, hope and celebration. Songs like “Love It All” point towards the joy in loving and learning from all that life brings- "every high, every low, every up and down, every turnaround." Tunes like “Friday Nights” encourage all towards treating each day as if it’s a holiday or the weekend. It is this characteristic of celebration that Redebaugh brings with him to the stage. “I am constantly surprised in witnessing the creation of a song. Every time I play one of these songs, its an act of celebrating the place of inspiration from which it’s come. It's a joy for me to have these songs to play and my goal on stage is to share that joy with the audience.” Redebaugh’s feel-good lyrics combined with impressive piano and guitar skills, together help create songs that not only entertain an audience but last with them once the lights go down. Combine Redebaugh’s passion for music with his ability to connect with an audience while on stage and what you have is an evening of music that is as uplifting as it is entertaining. Redebaugh is currently living in New York City, recording his debut album entitled "New Life" and playing to local audiences. For more info visit http://www.myspace.com/ryanredebaugh
