I grew up in a winter wonderland known as Duluth,MN. It’s Probably most famous for being one of Dylan’s stops on his way to Greenwich Village. I started playing(smoke on the water) when I was fifteen but didn’t really start writing until a bit later when(because of a faulty decision to join the army to pay for college)I found myself deployed overseas in Iraq. With quite a bit of free time on my hands when I wasn’t working, I ended up finding a style that I could say was somewhat my own. I try to have it both ways when it comes to being an optimist and a pessimist in my writing because I can’t just fool myself into always being one or the other…sometimes it’s even indifference. Before being deployed I was going to school in Orlando,FL and I had some friends that were still there so I’m back, starting the fire here. My influences can pretty much be described by Old School: Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Dave Matthews. And New School: David Gray, David Ford, Wilco, and the Decemberists.
