If you like Country Music mixed with a little Rock & Roll. Then you will love ‘The Rupert Duncan Band. Everywhere we play… the dance floor is always full of excited people having fun !! If you want to get your crowd into a dancing frenzy, then you need this band. While we are a country band , we’re also known for performing some great rock & roll, southern rock, oldies, and even a blues song or two (all great dance music !) . You really never know what we’ll play next depending on the crowd. We mix up the music to offer something for other people who may not want to hear just country music. HOWEVER, if your show calls for all country music and nothing else,, Then we are more than willing to accommodate your request. We have professional equipment and over 5o years of music experience between us. No event is too big or too small. We just want to perform for people who enjoy great live entertainment. But we’re also used to entertaining large crowds as we have hosted many major events over the past few years. If the people are not dancing and having a good time, then we are not doing our job plain and simple! This is the ultimate party band for any occasion.

About Rupert,

Heavily influenced by country and rock… I write songs that combine the two music groups in a unique mixture of fresh new original music that is in a category all of its own! Some of my songs are country meets rock.. while others remain as country as any traditional country music fan would expect…..It is my original songs that really stand out at our shows.

Recently (2005) received finalist honors in the (VH1- Save The Music) Song of The Year Songwriting Contest. The song is called “Don’t You Love Me Anymore”!

Recorded two songs in Nashville, Tennessee for AMI Records. One of these songs called “Take Me Drunk” reached No. 10 on the country indie charts. It can be heard at www.rupertduncan.com on the music page .

I am very proud of the two originals " Country Song ( Its Got To Be Country)" & “Hugs And Kisses”. These two songs were produced by “Mr. Ronnie Montrose”, yes thats right, from the rock band “Montrose”. Ronnie is the person who discovered " Sammy Hagar" ! Ronnie likes many types of music when it come from the heart as does this music !

The band and I are currently in the midst of recording 8 new original songs…. So with that in mind we will have a new a 10 song CD out soon.

The song “Hugs And Kisses” is an extra special song straight from the heart that goes out to anybody who has a family member they are missing. At first we dedicated it to people in the armed forces and troops that serve our great country . But now I’m finding out that anybody can relate to this song even if you don’t have bullets whizzing by you in some foreign country…. Click on Audio to check it out !

The Rupert Duncan Band is a Sacramento, Ca based band. We play on a regular basis around Northern California. We perform classic and current country music as well as rock & roll, southern rock, few oldies, & even some blues. We almost have to play a variety of music to stay busy with the local club scene since there is a wide variety of musical interests in and around Sacramento.

Aside from our cover songs…. we also have some great originals that we throw into the mix. Its great when people come up and say " Who sings that song?" Thats When I just light up with a huge smile and say " We do" ! Our original music has a lot of rock flavor since we all grew up on rock & roll also. But thats what people love about us. We play just about anything to keep em’ on the floor !
