Bikini Robot Army is Val Broeksmit. Originally called "The Good Time Charlies" with band members Brandon Geiger & Matt Goldsborough, Val branched off to create his own unique style as Bikini Robot Army; as with The Streets (Mike Skinner), Moby (Richard Melville Hall), Girl Talk (Gregg Michael Gillis) and Beck - Val is Bikini Robot Army. Val has created some of the catchiest, greatest grooves. His music takes the best parts of: 60's & 70's rock bands, Mo-town grooves and post punk electronic dance beats of the 80's and 90's; perfected with his inimitable poetry and prose, from Rudyard Kipling through Robert Hunter to Robert Burns. One of Val's most addictive hooks, is straight from Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" [Joe Strummer's House]. Usually Val calls on his special guests to come and join him. Special Guests include: David Bowie Moby Keith Richards Andrew Jarecki Brandon Geiger The lovely Andrew Jarecki drums all over "Joe Strummer's house", beating that song into maturity. His Bio Reads: Andrew Jarecki is a filmmaker and musician. His first feature, Capturing the Friedmans, won 18 major international prizes including the Grand Jury Prize at the 2003 Sundance Festival, and the New York Film Critics Circle award, and was nominated for an Academy Award. He has made a number of acclaimed short films (including Just a Clown, and Swimming, which were shown at the Sundance Film Festival) and co-wrote and performed the theme song for the television show Felicity on the WB Network. Jarecki was also co-founder of Moviefone. He is a graduate of Princeton University where he was a theatrical director, and resides in New York City with his family.
