ROSY LIKES RED, a new wave/post punk band founded in Baltimore, Maryland, writes and performs original songs. Over the last year, they have worked tirelessly to develop a bond with their fans. As a result, they have a following in MD and other areas of the country like VA, WA, TX, IL, and CA. They have street teams in MD, NY, and GA. Some of these devoted fans have even initiated fan pages on myspace “Get the Hype Up for Rosy Likes Red” and the RLR fan page for facebook. When they are not performing, they are on the scene promoting at local shows and events. Not only do they enjoy this, but they understand it gives them the opportunity to make new friends/fans and network with other bands. Their hard work and promotional efforts is beginning to pay off as they have been invited to perform at some of the biggest venues in MD/DC/VA area including the Sonar, Recher Theatre, and the 9:30 Club. Last summer Rosy Likes Red earned a spot on the Kia/Kevin Says Stage at the 2009 DC Vans Warped Tour. Performing in front of a crowd of 300, RLR drew the largest crowd of day to the Kevin Says Stage. In addition to earning a spot on Warped Tour, Rosy Likes Red was named Syke Energy's July Band of the Month. Their song, "Girl You Take My Breath Away", can be found on Syke Energy's compilation CD called "Falling Foward". With emotional lyrics, memorable melodies, and an infectious pseudo-retro sound, ROSY LIKES RED is a new fresh sound.
