About Ross Key Country

Portrait of Ross Key Country

Ross Key Country

Key’s talent is known throughout the music genres since he was 15 years old, including – but not limited to – country, bluegrass, blues, and gospel circuits. You may visit his website at www.rosskeycountry.com. A demo (live recording without effects) is online as well as a PDF promotional package available for viewing or download.

Key has an impressive background encompassing over 30 years in the music industry, both professional and semi-professional, having traveled throughout the country and abroad, performing before royalty in Europe. He has played with, and fronted for, musical greats such as Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Jr., Freddy Fender, Emmylou Harris, Alabama, Jimmy Buffet, and many others. He traveled professionally with the Vessels of God, a gospel group, for 15 years until leaving the circuit. Prior to the gospel circuit, RKC traveled professionally with Lower 40 Grass, a bluegrass band. He left the professional circuit to raise his family in Campbell County, Virginia. With that behind him, he is now devoting his energies to his musical career full time. Key is also a talented songwriter/composer, having successfully sold through ASCAP in the past. He is currently affiliated with BMI Nashville.

Key is a Virginia State Dobro champion and an accomplished musician on acoustic guitars (both 6 and 12 strings), electric guitars (Fender Telecaster is his favorite), dobro, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, piano/keyboard, and drums. In summary, Mr. Key can execute any stringed instrument with professional precision. His keyboard style is similar, yet unique, to that of Jerry Lee Lewis and Ronnie Milsap.
