This is how I roll
Robin Brodsky was born & raised in Boston, but feels she may have lived a past life in Nashville. Robin’s debut CD is “Songs from the Seventh House” – produced by Tony Savarino (World Greatest Sinners, The Montgomerys) also featuring drummer Mike Levesque (Susan Tedeschi, Dave Navarro, David Bowie). All songs are available for licensing through Pump Audio – www.pumpaudio.com – and they have been played on 95.9 WATD-FM and on internet radio. The tunes are testament to her days growing up in the 70’s listening to Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, and the great Miss Patsy Cline. Her traditional old-school country song “Am I Blue” was showcased on the Hank in Chains “underground country” show alongside Hank Williams III. Robin is featured on Fox Radio online & her southern-rocker tune “Freedom” is on ClearChannel. “When You Want” placed Runner Up in the Song of the Year competition. Robin comes from a theatre background, having attended the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts camp for 5 summers as a child, then attending Syracuse University as a theatre major. She was a singer on the Spirit of Boston cruise ship, an extra in the movie “Mystic River”, and a contestant on the Wheel of Fortune… but embarking on a songwriting career has been the most exciting & passionate pursuit. Recording artist Jann Arden says Robin “sings from the heart, and that’s a great gift. It’s in her blood.” Her bluesy voice & style has been compared to Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, and Susan Tedeschi. She received a perfect “10” score for lyrical content from the Songdoor Competition. She has also written songs for her daughter, GRACIE. The music video for “I’m A Kid” is here on Robin’s OurStage profile. Robin is a BMI songwriter & lastly, she wants everyone to know that no, she is not related to Chuck or Joseph Brodsky, but yes she is related to Stephen Brodsky of Cave In.
