Rivers Monroe, currently based out of Philadelphia PA, is a high energy rock pop quintet, influenced heavily by the sounds of the 80’s, with a modern twist. Formed in 2000 with the soaring and harmonizing vocals of Mike Monroe and Mat Rivers, the two soon found that they had a natural affinity for writing catchy tunes and memorable lyrics. With a few songs already under their belts, they soon recruited Steve Krowe, Paul Ritorto and Matt “Doc” Varga to fill out and complete their energetic sound. With each member bringing their own distinct set of influences to the table, they came together with a persevering attitude, a strong vision, and one main focus; to distinguish themselves as a unique rock/pop band. And so, the sound of Rivers Monroe as it is today was born.
