Richard grew up in Kentucky listening to all types of Roots Music. At the tender age of thirteen he began writing and playing the music that has come to be known as “Americana”. For thirty years Richard has been an active part of the Southeast Regional music scene. For the past ten years he has been a member of “Little Mountain” a successful Bluegrass/Gospel group from North Georgia. From his home in Dahlonega, Georgia Richard continues to perform and write. After several recordings with “Little Mountain” Richard began recording his own material with the 2003 release of “High Lonesome Trail”. The Bluegrass influence is in the forefront but tempered with Folk and Tex/Mex styles as well. The 2006 release of “Dreams of Mexico” brought a little different direction. With the addition of renowned guitarist John Hodge the songs took on a harder edge and the Hillbilly Rock influence was more prominent. A new CD is currently being written and is tentatively titled "A Thousand Miles To Austin". Catch up with Richard around the North Georgia area when you can.
