Born to a single comedian mother and gang banger father, he was always caught between two parallels, the reality of the streets and privilege of being around celebrities and seeing that it’s possible to make it happen and be something. Raised in Inglewood, CA, he became a product of his environment, encountering all aspects of living the street life. With everyone encouraging him to rap and stay out of the life, he decided to take the music thing seriously.

When a chance opportunity at fifteen to get signed to Bad Boys records fell through, he realized he had a talent that should not be wasted. From that point on Reef has been perfecting his style of West Coast story telling mixed with East Coast lyricism and a hint of Dirty South swag to make a complete artist. He has performed at different venues form Los Angeles to Dallas, TX.

At seventeen, Raww Reef caught a case right around the time his mother had moved to Dallas. Upon his release he was instructed to move to Texas. Being in the South gave him a whole new perspective on how his music should be created and delivered to the public. Now he is one of the most versatile artists, not just from the West Coast, but period.

Raww Reef is currently working on two mix tapes, one for the South called Street Klassics- from Da West 2 Da South, and a Westside mix tape called Da Raww And Only Vol. 1. He feels these mix tapes are almost like albums and will definitely generate a buzz throughout the county about this new phenomenon called Raww Reef.

Reef also has his own squad, which will eventually become a record label called G.R.E.E.N T.E.A.M. The name is an acronym which stands for Generation Riches Everyday Every Night To Eventually Attain Millions. It’s more of a platform for Raww Reef and other artists more than it’s a group type situation. He plans on taking his self and these artists to the next level.
