President Obama, as I like to call him, is poised to be one of the all time great leaders in world history. From a throng of 100,000 supporters he left and travelled into an area of those hostile to him, where he was treated with disrespect and hostility by a crowd of white Christians. What did he do? He walked up to them, talked with them, and treated them with respect.
His speech, One Voice, moves me to tears every time I watch it. It’s so full of power and grace. This presidential election is not about a party, but about a shift in the consciousness of our nation, from one of hate and fear to one of courage and hope. Mr. Obama is the candidate who symbolizes our national ascendency. This campaign is not, as he has said over and again, about him, but about us.
I am proud to be part of this historic moment, and I am honored to be a supporter of his.
p.s. I have respect for McCain who is actually MY Senator here in Arizona. This is not his time, estimation.
