We are based out of Arlington, Tx. 3 piece rock metal with strong vocals and melodic hooks. Hoping for a big break RA continues to strive to write songs that have a point of contact with the audience. With songs like: "You Lose" written for Pat's brother who has just beat cancer. "Guide Me Home" dedicated to our troops "Your Love" written for Pat's wife and their 6 kids Raising Abel has been compared to Metal and Pop put in a blender at 70,000 rpm. Sorta like Metallica and Genes...

We are based out of Arlington, Tx. 3 piece rock metal with strong vocals and melodic hooks. Hoping for a big break RA continues to strive to write songs that have a point of contact with the audience. With songs like: "You Lose" written for Pat's brother who has just beat cancer. "Guide Me Home" dedicated to our troops "Your Love" written for Pat's wife and their 6 kids Raising Abel has been compared to Metal and Pop put in a blender at 70,000 rpm. Sorta like Metallica and Genesis having a head on a car collision. With a strong stage performance RA can hold an all age audience. Band members are: Pat Bratcher, Joe Bird, Michale Moore and Paul Bennett. Raising Abel was started in late 2004 by Pat Bratcher and Joe Bird. Joe and Pat were best friends in high school, after HS Pat started a band and Joe started a family. Pat went on the road as a musician, Joe as a on the road truck driver. As teenagers they jammed together under a carport in a small town after school and have always wanted to play together on stage in front of big crowds. After many years they meet up again and founded RA with the goal to accomplish what they had always dreamed of. Joe and Pat jammed in his den until Pat bought a house with a garage which was turned into a studio. Michale Moore joined in July of 2008. so now they had a trio. in 2009 they played a couple of gigs local. Paul Bennett also joined in Dec of 2009. The band was complete. RA had 8 songs written and recorded in their garage so they entered entered Alpine Stereo's 2009 online battle of the bands called "Rock The Dash" and won 6th place out of 2060 bands nationwide. The band is currently added some news songs, and polishing their sound and look.
