I began writing music at the age of 14. It seemed to fulfill some adolescent need to express all of my confused emotions at the time. Thankfully, as I matured over the years, I continued to enjoy writing as much as I enjoyed singing. I was very lucky to find an extremely talented vocal coach when I was very young and he taught me how to take good care of my voice. Early on, I admired all of the typically popular devas and strived to impersonate them. As I grew, so did my appreciation for all of the great female vocalists and songwriters of recent times and going back to the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s as well; such a wealth of talent to draw from. I fill my concerts with a combination of my own material and new adaptations of some of the great pop standards.
