Alden Burke

Alden Burke was born in Glace Bay, NS and started his musical journey as a Saxophone player in his School Band. Alden then began playing guitar at age 12 which opened the view on modern music, leading him to persue bass and drums Alden’s passion is still acoustic guitar around a campfire. In 2009 Alden was a top 3 finalist at the NSCC Marconi Campus Idol competition. After this accomplishment... he began steadily working on his music. Alden Burke was born in Glace Bay, NS and started his musical journey as a Saxophone player in his School Band. Alden then began playing guitar at age 12 which opened the view on modern music, leading him to persue bass and drums Alden’s passion is still acoustic guitar around a campfire. In 2009 Alden was a top 3 finalist at the NSCC Marconi Campus Idol competition. After this accomplishment... he began steadily working on his music. Alden, being the founder of NSCC’s Open Mic has begun to be more recognised on Sydney’s music scene. He now performs locally at dances, parties and coffee shops entertaining audiences of all ages. Alden is now exploring writing his own material. In 2010, Alden after beginning professional vocal coaching he teamed up with guitarist and friend, James Snow, to form a musical duo and record a demo CD of songs performed regularly at their shows. Alden has since returned to his solo project and is currently recording his debut album "One More Day" which is expected to be released in 2012.
