Who do you get when you combine a sexy, passionate singer/songwriter with a stylish and charismatic acrobatic dancer? His name is Jason Cerda. He's a metro D.C. native who combines the pulsing Puerto Rican rhythms that have shaped him since birth to the R&B and Pop influences he has embraced along with gravity-defying choreography. His ability to sing in both English & Spanish gives him the advantage of reaching a wider and more diverse fan- base. Many may recognize Jason from his astounding flips and moves in New York City's annual Puerto Rican Day Parade Festivals. His sleek physique combined with his energetic and cleverly calibrated dance moves have attracted widespread notice: A humble and attractive young man, in 2005, he was voted one of DC's sexiest bachelors. Jason shares the stage with other highly accomplished dancers who also have the moves and the 'attitude’. In addition, he often features career musicians to demonstrate their talents, which add to his show’s performance value. Jason Cerda is not merely a singer and dancer. He's a Showman. When many of today’s performers don’t understand the chemistry of working a crowd, Jason Cerda’s charisma and charm engages it. During a Cerda set, audience participation is a given. This guy doesn't just capture the imagination; he drives it. You just can't help but come with him on the journey. He cites Michael Jackson, Usher and Prince as key role models and influences. When asked what he loves to do the most, his answer is, "to entertain." This should come as no surprise because Jason has spent many years honing his craft. His passion to entertain and become a part of the music industry and began early at the age of 5, when he started performing. His efforts since then have already paid off. One of his most cherished starting points was serving as a back-up dancer for Platinum recording artist Mya and pop-culture sensation Cali. He has also recorded with producer Max Methods and Hugo Diaz of the Diaz Brothers. The milestones don't end there. Jason was among the top 12 finalists among thousands in Ne-Yo's search for a new member of the Compound family. And, in October 2008, Jason also opened for T.I and T-Pain at George Mason University's Patriot Center. An aspiring actor, Jason has been featured in many independent films and commercials, including State Farm Insurance and Toyota. Jason has performed in some of D.C.'s and L.A.'s hottest night clubs and his songs have been featured on major radio stations across Europe. His latest endeavor has him recording new material with producer-songwriter-engineer J.P. Evans of Armey Antz Productions, based in Miami Beach, FL ,and Armey Antz Production’s powerful and dynamic team of producers and songwriters. This summer, Jason plans to tour the West Coast with recording artists Flo-Rida, Casely, and Pleasure P.
