I can’t keep from crying for this crazy mixed up place. With all its death and dying I feel the need for His embrace.
There’s no use in denying I can’t keep up this pace. On His Spirit I’m relying I’m afraid to fall from grace.
It’s time I face my forgotten fears And taste the bitter tears That time can’t quite erase. Friend, the end is drawing near. We’ll disappear without a trace.
Just like the thunder right before the rain I’m torn asunder by the stress and strain I’m beginning to wonder if it’s all in vain. I’m goin’ under. Can you feel my pain?
And through the passing years, I begin to hear His still, small voice ringing loud and clear. Giving me a choice between faith and fear. Nothing is as it appears
We’re sowing and reaping. And chasing our careers. I hear the Spirit weeping. Behold the time is near.
The Father isn’t sleeping. His word is very clear. His promise He is keeping. He’ll calm our foolish fears.
He holds them for safekeeping. Our silent cries He hears. We’ll be walking and leaping He’ll wipe away our tears.
So be of one mind And be of good cheer… Seek and you’ll find The choice is clear
Look for the signs For the time is near Gotta walk the line Gotta face my fears
So let your light so shine They’ll know you’re mine By the way you persevere Nothing is as it appears. (3x)
No need to hide No need to cower He will provide In my final hour

VERSE 1 It’s up to us to take them and bring them to you So take this music and use it for your kingdom This world is full of dream stealers but you are my healer and the author of my dreams
CHORUS It’s you who makes me sing It’s you who gives me wings So I bring my cares to you and dare to do great things
VERSE 2 He whom the Son sets free is free indeed So don’t hesitate to plant the seed This world is full of hate and fear So dare to do great things
OUTRO The hour is coming and will soon be here When men of faith will be filled with fear And sound teaching they will not hear May we seek you while you are near and may we dare to do great things
You used to be a warm place to come home to You used to be someone I could always talk to You used to want me as much as I wanted you Whatever happened to the way it used to be?
It used to be the sun rose and set in your eyes It used to be that we never told each other lies It used to be that we didn’t need no alibis Whatever happened to the way it used to be?
The way it used to be; when I loved you And you loved me; when will we get back To the way it used to be?
You used to welcome me with open arms You used to shower me with all your charms Now we’re roomies so please do me no harm Whatever happened to the way it used to be?
Maybe one day we can learn to love and respect each other all over again We can earn the right to expect more than what we’ve learned to accept Maybe one day we’ll live and learn and earn each other’s love and respect Maybe one day we can return to the way it used to be…. way back when
The way is used to be; when I loved you And you loved me; when will we get back To the way it used to be?
