PraiseOutLoud was formed in 2004 by original members Kevin Combs (Lead Vocals), Ronnie Anderson (Bass Guitar), Jackie Tatum (Lead Guitar) and Daniel Smith (Drums), as a 3-piece Christian rock band with a strong southern rock flare. Their core mission, providing wholesome family entertainment combined with a message of hope for all, and encouragement for Christian believers everywhere. With a combination of thoughtful, energetic music and a testimony that is sure to touch the hearts of all who hear it, PraiseOutLoud has touched the hearts of people everywhere they have had the opportunity to share their music.
With the release of their first album, Humbled, in 2005 opportunities began to arise. PraiseOutLoud has been honored to play with artists both large and small in venues in the southeastern U.S. Some of the notable national acts include Pocket Full of Rocks, Mark Harris, Warren Barfield, Russ Lee and Seventh Day Slumber. PraiseOutLoud has been equally honored to serve through performance at many charity events and fundraisers.
While the band’s line-up has changed over the years, the core members have remained a guiding force in the group’s direction. In 2005, Kimber Combs joined to provide backup vocals and then in 2007, Darrell Collins joined as rhythm guitarist followed by Brad Taylor on keyboards.
With these new additions complete, the band embarked on, and completed, the creation of their second album, self-titled “PraiseOutLoud” in 2008. With help from producer Kenny Oxendine the group was able to reach new musical horizons and release a project that reflects the professionalism and talent that the members of the band bring to each and every event.
In 2008, PraiseOutLoud continued to further its mission in venues that ranges from small churches to the musical entertainment for arena football at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, NC. It should be noted, however, the band continues to measure success, not by the size of the venue or audience, but by the quality of each performance and the fulfillment of their mission.
The band is currently preparing material for their third album with their new lead singer, Greg Tart, who joined the group in May, 2009. The new album is slated for release sometime in 2010. Additionally they are receiving airplay in various U.S. markets, scheduling shows as far away as Nashville, TN and preparing to shoot their first music video, “Prodigal”. They invite you to join them on their journey.
