About Porcelain
Los Angeles, CA
Originally formed in Wollongong, Australia, Porcelain has a unique lineup – female front Lo Roberts, Ben Richards (lead guitar), Asha Mevlana (electric violin) and Ewen Penberthy-Groves (Bass)
Porcelain rose to the top of their scene in Australia, winning a MusicOz Award and later going on tour with the Goo Goo Dolls, Nickelback and Lifehouse. Porcelain relocated to Los Angeles and signed to Universal Motown in 2006.
Porcelain wrote their first record on the shores of the Australian coast, and in the heart of Los Angeles. These sessions included working with Linda Perry (4 Non-Blondes, Pink, Gwen Stefani), Mike Elizondo (50 Cent, Eminem, Fiona Apple) and Holly Knight (Aerosmith, Pat Benatar). Their album was mixed by Serban Ghenea (Dave Matthews, Kelly Clarkson, Staind) and was produced by Mike Green (Paramore, Plain White T’s).
Porcelain is now gearing up for a record release in early 2010 in Australia.
