Hailing from the slums of Brooklyn, Pora! Pora! are not the hipster hogs of war in their capitols, but the soldiers in the trenches...or the peace corps in the streets with like, starving kids. The band focuses on hardscrabble old-school punk with strong melody but since they agree on practically nothing, the listener is subject to an endless aural pastiche; death-from-above guitar, devil bass, fallen angel vocals, and everything in between.Oh, and we are a quartet with a girl singer.
