Polly Mackey & The Pleasure Principle are a musical outfit based in North Wales and Liverpool. They have just recorded their debut single with the highly esteemed Robert Harder (Brian Eno, David Byrne, Babyshambles, The Slits, White Rose Movement) which is released 7th November on The Playground Records. A UK tour follows in the New Year, with select gigs across the map on the run up to Christmas. Within 2 years of forming, the band have played at festivals such as: - SXSW 2009 + 2010...

Polly Mackey & The Pleasure Principle are a musical outfit based in North Wales and Liverpool. They have just recorded their debut single with the highly esteemed Robert Harder (Brian Eno, David Byrne, Babyshambles, The Slits, White Rose Movement) which is released 7th November on The Playground Records. A UK tour follows in the New Year, with select gigs across the map on the run up to Christmas. Within 2 years of forming, the band have played at festivals such as: - SXSW 2009 + 2010 in Austin, Texas - Benicassim Festival in Spain alongside The Killers, Oasis and Kings Of Leon - The Great Escape Festival, Brighton - The Liverpool SoundCity Music Festival. - MTV Music Week Having played over 150 gigs at venues across the UK the band are well established on the live UK scene, with radio support coming from Tom Robinson and Lauren Laverne of 6 Music and BBC Radio 1 Introducing. They have recently had one of their tracks used in BBC Teen Drama 'The Cut'. The only unsigned act in the episode, their track 'The Wall' was played alongside Florence, Thom Yorke, The Pixies and Mumford & Sons. Their debut single 'Higher' is released on 7th Nov on The Playground Records.
