Musical beginnings from the everglades of Florida to the red clay of south Georgia, passing through Atlanta and on into the Great Smoky Mountains, making a side trip through the Carolinas to Virginia and Kentucky and resting in Nashville. The smell of honey suckle, a sip of a mint julep, the beauty of one red rose and the sound of fiddle and steel. That's right, you've got it...the music of PJ Steelman. PJ has always loved all kinds of music, from country to big band to R&B to gospel, and it all comes acrossed so well in his great americana recordings. His music encompasses all of these influences. It's All Coming Home, his brand new project, is his first with the good folks at Hound Sound Music. There are 14 cuts, PJ wrote 7 of them solo, and the other 7 he had the opportunity to work with some great, great co writers, such as Gene Smith and Deb Ziems and two of his brothers, Keith and Steve. It is one you will want to add to your collection. The next CD, Travelin' Music, is recorded and is currently being mixed and mastered. It is slated for a fall release. PJ has worked the entire eastern seaboard with the band. Along with PJ, Mike Meredith handles the drums, Lawrence Ealey on lead guitar and Paul Bland takes care of the keyboards. What a great sound!!! There have been so many musical influences in PJ's career, including Merle Haggard, Frank Sinatra, Dick Curless, Bill Anderson, Johnny Cash, Mel Torme, Peggy Lee, and Benny Goodman. PJ the dj, (sorry Stonewall) has worked for over 20 years at stations in the eastern part of the U.S. He is playing music all of the time and if you catch him live, he is currently playing an LDG model steel, 3&4, through a tubefex processor, and a Nashville 400 amp. He also uses a 77 tele deluxe...catch them in concert when you can.
