Piercing Silence is an instrumental jazz fusion epic symphonic rock band (with balls) which formed back in December of 2006 in Huntington, New York. Piercing Silence has been working on a new sound which fuses elements of rock, jazz, symphony, and metal.
Drummer Alex Sauerhoff and guitarist Eitan Prouser originally met in December ’06 and began writing music together; the band now consists of Guitarist Eitan Prouser, Keyboardist Chris Amenita, Bassist Jacob Suarez and Drummer Alex Sauerhoff.
Our first album will be titled “Fear of a Lesser God” and is based on the concept of 2012 – will the world end on December 21st, 2012, or will we reach the beginning of a new age? There are many different paradigms and beliefs regarding the meaning of 2012, but the most prominent belief is that the human race will reach a new level of understanding and a heightened awareness as the light of the universe descends upon us.
We are currently writing the rest of our 12 track album and we are recording/producing the album with producer Micky James (songwriter/producer of Criss Angel’s Mindfreak) at Freedom of Speech Studios. Our EP is currently available, the album is expected to be complete by 2010.
