Bio of Artist

Notty Ras aka Niyahbinghi

Notty Ras a native of the South Side of Chicago, and the East Heights of Illinois moved to Oakland with his family at the age of 6. What does the name Niyahbinghi mean? Niyahbingi is translated to mean “destruction of all oppressors” which was given to him by his family because of his rebel swagger. Hip Hop was on the rise when Notty Ras was a child; and it was being scrutinized by the world but this was never a factor with Notty Ras. The rhythm and the rhyme scheme, and culture, naturally spoke to Notty Ras soul. So with in the chaos of the streets and the ghetto he found a voice that not only interpreted the spirit of the streets and the heart of a survivor. His influences came from rappers with hardcore lyrics, the abstract beauty of graffiti artists, burners, and DJ’s cuts all combined to inspire him. R&B and Reggae cuts also fused in to this artists influence. As a child he embraced a lot of the things he heard coming from the east coast which added to his interest in hardcore rap. So there is no surprise that his influences and idols in the industry are B.D.P., N.W.A., Ice T, Too Short, and the Legendary RUN D.M.C. These icons helped him understand Hip Hop and its diversity, passion, drive and how its message benefits our culture. So Notty Ras holds great appreciation for being born in the 80’s when the vision of hip hop was diversifying and intensifying for the world to appreciate. In Notty Ras Niyahbinghi’s youth, he signed a Indie Label which was untimely, because at that time rap was still in the streets and wasn’t played as frequently on the Radio. He never gave up and continued to rap about getting paid, and the violence that surrounded the bay. But, soon he understood that the hip hop culture and rap had a much bigger picture for his self and his audience, so after finishing High school and experiencing life’s ups and downs. He was led back to the Studio and he focused his drive to provide a message, and a story, and revelation to hip hop. Notty Ras has entered the scene and renewed his drive for excellence, with his slapping new beats and intoxicating rhymes.

The Ave Boyz being made up of BLACK REESE, NY’NE, MR. META 4 AND ICY MIC B are in two words: real lyricists. Their formula is to make songs, not just a chorus and cheesy verse. On this album you’re going to find the best club banger’s you have ever heard.

THE AVE BOYZ Is made up of four rappers, hand picked and selected by JAMES ALAN BROWN aka CHASE GREEN CEO of TITANIUM AVENUE RECORDS. Each rapper brings a unique element to the group and together they are hot. Each track on the PARTNERS IN RYHME album showcases the individual rapper’s skill as an artist as well as their talent within a group. You will find additional information about each artist and the record label on our website www.titaniumavenuerecords.com and or the groups MySpace page www.myspace.com/theaveboyz. Titanium Avenue Records is the independent Bay area based label that is destined to become the next musical icon by encompassing new styles of rap, hip-hop, neo-soul, and R&B. Founded by Bay Area native and music enthusiast James Alan Brown in 2002, this talented CEO moved to the LA area and built a studio on his property, devoting his ambitions to build a record label that could bring into the music scene something that has been lacking; heart. With an official label under way aspiring artists locally and from the Bay area quickly heard about him and his mission and decided to join in something they knew had promise. Signing artists and producers, one of them being Bennie Rabbit Rodgers, half of Bayroot Boyz Ent., the work began and has not stopped. Being an up and coming label, a few of the early artists came and went but others such as Marcellus, MR. META 4, Icy Mic B, and Black Reese continued on with the hardships of pursuing their dreams. Overcoming the ups and downs of making it in the business they all know that the only real way to make it is to Keep It Real Wit Cha Self and continue making music from the heart. With fresh production coming from Bayroot Boyz Ent., Fishnet Productions, and other collaborations, Titanium Avenue has created a style they like to call HYDRO, not only to distinguish themselves from other labels but to also begin their own movement. Not falling into any of the musical bandwagons they keep on creating new material that contains that same old school classic flare with a new school touch surely to make a historical stamp in music. Marketing themselves with their popular promotional DVDs, CDs and other merchandise including: shirts, lanyards, key chains, and beer mugs, they use creativity as the key to their longevity in the music business. Their consistency and their unique style of music is what anchors them close to their roots conveying their hard work, dedication, and love for music. Always writing about true to life lyrics whether it is violence, love, drugs, sex, or growing up in the hood, their street credibility is undeniable and never lost nor forgotten in its art form. With the entire roster of artists coming from different backgrounds and geographic areas we, the consumer and fan, are surely to anticipate something for everyone and from everyone on the label. The Ave, as they like to call themselves is a close-knit family harnessing mutual support, creative collaborations, and not to forget constructive trash talking to bring out the best in each other. Titanium Avenue Records prides itself in always bringing out the best and no less. No half-assing, remedial, gets it on the radio quick, popish, and so called real music. The label, run by James AKA Boy Brown, sticks to this rule whenever an idea has surfaced and is brought to life; or shall we say put on wax. Now more seasoned, with a couple years under their belt Titanium Avenue AKA, The Ave is more than ready and certified to take music industry by storm and run with it till the end. Artist Bio :

“MR. META 4” aka Walter Redding

Born in Minnesota, before the age of one, he and his family moved to Chicago, IL, where he spent the first 13 years of his life. His family decided to relocate at that time to Prince Hall Housing project, in San Francisco, CA to the area know to San Franciscans as the Fillmore District aka The Moe, where he has lived for the past 9 years. Due to lack of jobs and opportunities for young black men in his community, Walter turned to the streets for support, doing whatever it took to provide a life for his family. The streets gave him hope for a future, exposing him to the rap community. It was then that MR. META 4 found his true calling in life, to be a lyricist.

He began hooking up with local producers, and was in and out of many studios, dropping mix tapes, and making guest appearances on several Bay area albums. After many false promises by leaders in the music industry, MR. META 4 has invested a promising future with CEO James Alan Brown and his record label Titanium Avenue Records aka THE AVE and production team BAYROOT BOYZ ENT. MR META 4 has now been working with talented producers and sound engineers, among the many are BAYROOT BOYZ ENT. producer/songwriter/CEO James Alan Brown, the second half of BAYROOT BOYZ ENT. team/drummer/keyboardist, Bennie Rabbit Rogers, and sound engineer Jaymz Martin III. META 4s sound and style is unlike no other with influences from the Midwest, East Coast, and West Coast.

Many would like to equate his style with touches of several artists in the industry, to name a few, East Coast rappers Freeway, Camron, and Cassidy because of the strength in his lyrics. But on the West Coast, there is NO ONE like him. To take a brief quote fro his debut single, The Takeover, The streets is my life so peep my lectchaaa. You can peep his lecture when the album hit stores in Early Summer 2007. This album will be among the few bay classics.
