Classically trained pianist, schooled in Rock guitarist/vocalist, Pete Haase’s compositions span many genres. He focuses on delivering powerful and memorable songs. Pete comes from a long heritage of musicians and artists on both sides of the family. Appreciation and sensitivity to sound was particularly evident at a young age which prompted piano lessons at 7, summer camp at New England Music Camp including chorus, violin in junior high, playing keyboard/synth with Band of Hands in high school, and becoming immersed with guitar and songwriting at age 17. In addition to his own artistic endeavor, Pete has worked on production for music festivals (Knock on Wood Guitarfest, Saltwater Music Festival) and studio production – assistant credits on albums released by Telarc (blues), participated in songwriting contests both live (locally) and much larger via cd mail ins… Last year, a song for which Pete wrote lyrics/recorded vocals, was chosen for radio airplay on WTOS 105.1, a compilation ‘Homegrown 2’ CD and a spot in the Battle of the Bands semifinals… cowritten with friends they quickly grouped/prepared under the moniker Fault. A solo album is now in the works. His day job is with an Internet music company helping to promote artists and labels worldwide.
