The principal songwriter for his former group Oliver Creak, snatches verbal phrases from books, conversations, television and then builds on them. He even named his old band after his parrot Oliver, and rey.In 2005, he moved to Phoenixville and started hosting an open mic at the Steel City Coffee where he continues to host every second Thursday of the Month. He has played area venues such as Steel City, and Chaplin’s Club in Spring City. As a member of the Philadelphia Area Songwriters Association, he has given various workshops on songwriting. He has received an honorable mention award from Billboard’s 12th annual songwriter contest for his song called “Stars”. He is currently working on his second CD, tentatively called “Altitude”.His music is an eclectic mélange of folk, rock, bluegrass, and recently, traditional Irish music. He has played at agricultural festivals in Dover, Del., Borders book stores and state parks in southeastern Pennsylvania, the Coffee Works in Voorhees, N.J., And one of Paul’s favorite venue, a Scotch/Irish wedding at an upscale country club in Warren County, N.J.
