The Origen
was founded in 1995 by composer, producer and sound engineer Alexsey Zakharenko from Kyiv (Ukraine). There were comments describing the first Origen's CDs "Electro" and "Era of Aquarius" as progressive ambient, electronic music. In 2002 Alexey Zakharenko invited lyrical opera soprano Tanya Lubimenko to take part in the recordings of new age music album Ave Maria and it was the good choice.
In September 2002 Ave Maria by Caccini was on MP3.COM TOP 40 general charts, Ave Maria (Schubert ) was #1 on mp3.com New Age Charts, Ave Maria (Bach-Gounod) was #1 in Metal Charts and soon all tracks from this album were on the top of different international charts. "This is so good! Incredible sound, and mixing..and I cried when the vocals came in this is "Dead Can Dance + Sarah Brightman. I will be listening out for more... how can I not.."
The latest Origen's album "New Age Opera" sounds like Sarah Brightman, Enigma, E.S. Posthumus, Vangelis. Such hits as Pie Jesu by Andrew Lloyd Weber, Lacrimosa by Mozart, Canon in D by Pachelbel, Conquest of Paradise by Vangelis is augmented with brand new songs.

how can a 25 year old male who goes out every weekend raving my heart out listerning to happy hardcore become so overwhelmd by this music...it seems ive turned a corner in my life and now starting to appreciate music as a whole due to this CD.my favorite track is In vita di Laura as soon as it played it grabbed me by the heart and made my throat go lumpy with emotion,everyone needs this album.......SERIOUSLY!!!

I have 3 of Origen's CD's and transfered them to my mp3 player (Samsung, not Apple!) and listen to them constantly. My friend keeps wanting to grab the earphones because he finds them as ethereal as do I. If Origen had 10 CD's I would own them all.

Moving and compelling vocalizations with haunting, pleasant melodies

I love this music. Origen delivers with moving vocalization by Tanya and the combination with the haunting, but pleasant melodies are compelling. Una Fortiva Lagrima is the centerpiece of this album and should be the title.

Exhilarating!

The music truly sweeps you off your feet and carries you away with its power. Superb vocals and instrumentals, the score designed to grab your emotions. It does not get much better than this for the genre. As an aside, perhaps a translation should come with the CD however this does not detract from its beauty and majesty. It is difficult for me to imagine anyone listening and not being moved.
