Open Chapter consists of four creative individuals, persistent to bring their story, original lyrics and music into the heart of mankind.
The music itself is reminiscent of grunge rock from the 80s and 90s. It has a dark quality relying heavily on angst-filled lyrics, reverberated vocals, feedback and distortion. The sound is strong and in-your-face.
The lyrics are a mix of sorrow, loss, anger, bewilderment, apathy and sometimes empowerment. “Our songs really mirror situations or time frames in our lives...some good, some bad,” says Manny.
