Iam born the october 10th 1972 in Rouen France, Iam a metis, my roots are from Sudan/Tunisia/Germany/France. I have grown up with black music thanks to my father, especially with James Brown,the Jackson five and Bob Marley.. Reggae music has always given me strengh and comfort during all my past life, especially when being a coloured man was really a problem fi di french society. Reggae music and jamaïcan singers from 70's have touched my heart and soul forever with dem spiritual and deep lyrics.When I was 29 years, I asked God of our fathers to show me the road to follow and music was the only way to turn. But as i have never played music or sung before, just played drum (djembé), I started to learn mainly with songs of Bob and Gregory Isaacs, trying to find how dem sang and did as well as I could. Everyday I was working hard and after several months I started to be more confident and I did my first perform in a little bar where I was living. People supported I and everywhere i performed it was a good vibe I have given and received. My rebirth was in 2002, I chose the name "Nesta" cuz Bob has put in my heart and soul the rasta spirit and strengh. I have learnt english when I was at school but thanks to reggae I have preserved it a bit and have learnt a few words of jamaïcan slang. One of my dreams is to come in Jamaïca one day, visit the rainbow country, "Yamekah", meet this people that give the world the spiritual music, sing and play drums, breath the vibes and understand who are the Jamaïcan...
Now after 7 years of performing, learning and playing with many musicians and artists, Iam ready to start a professional career as a french reggae artist. I got my own musical composings but still not recorded, my lyrics and my determination helped by the hand of the Almighty. Then, for the moment I have recorded my songs on the jamaïcan reggae riddims, but when I perform I include gradually my own reggae composings.Im looking for a manager,a production and opening actst of known reggae artists. I just wanna earn my life with music, not be famous but just live honestly; so I step forward and let my feet been ruled by the Good Lord with this philosophy: "what to be got to be". Reggae music is flowing in my veins like a running stream and mek react all the memory of my african genes: "yimasgan igzeeabihier amlak zelalemawee yebrehanu alem" satta massagana!
