What is the Neon Dawn?
The Neon Dawn brings new light, new possibilities, a place where everything and everyone can be redeemed and start the cycle anew after the darkest hour. Formed in mid-2008 from the ashes of independently successful Sydney bands DeniM and Novus, the sound of Neon Dawn is a fusion of classic and modern rock, employing a wide range of instrumentation including sax, keys, Chapmann Stick and multiple vocals. Neon Dawn is about melodic anthems built on signature sounds, wrapped around introspective, free-thinking lyrics and emotive hooks. Neon Dawn is the pursuit of the intellectualisation of rock.
With a powerful and energetic live performance, Neon Dawn is an intimacy that strives the encompass the universe and their loyal and burgeoning local fan base; alwaying seek to break down the boundaries between artist and audience. The two merging bands bring together over 400 live performances, including the Bondi Winter Music Festival, Melbourne’s National Theatre & Uni. Bar in Hobart; sold-out shows at the Metro and Gaelic Club in Sydney; also on the collective CV are Laney competition wins; radio airplay; recording credits for major labels, and TV exposure.
The Neon Dawn welcome in a new EP called Transitions on April 8th @ the Annandale Hotel in Sydney and are booking shows across the Eastern Seaboard in the first half of 2009.
After the darkest hour comes the Neon Dawn.
