Nazdaq Brixx went from playing the stock market to rapping the blues of the Bronx. The Parkchester native always had music in his life. As a young boy he was into music playing such instruments such as the piano, clarinet, trumpet and the guitar in the school band in P.S. 105 as well in music school at the Bronx house almost everyday after school. But before rapping he used to sing in the children and young adult choir in church, and also in the high school. At the age of 11 he moved to the Gun Hill/baychester area of the Bronx. By 14 years old he attended Our Saviour Lutheran H.S. where he ran track and played baseball around his third and fourth year of high school. He started writing rhymes and battled against other student rappers in the high school lunchroom. During that time he was in a gospel rap group called F.O.C. (Followers of Christ) with his fellow BBZ member Zavear and his best friend villain for about a year. They performed at the famous Apollo amateur night and McDonald’s Gospelfest. But the group broke up when the members went their separate way. After high school Brixx went to Berkeley College in White Plains for his first year then transferred to central Connecticut State University, where he majored in economics and minored in business. Towards his senior year he met Jay Perk and started Team Unofficial. The group performed at many shows throughout New England including New York at the China Club with Funkmaster Flex from Hot 97 in NYC. He is a member of the NY recording academy and was an assistant in the operations department at Sony BMG. Brixx stopped rapping and became a stockbroker trainee after college at basic investors on Wall Street. But also he started his own company called The LaFrance Group Inc. which is advertising and media company. But this songwriter and producer is ready for the challenges that await him in the music industry.
