Malaysian born and raised Natallie Ng grew up in a family that encouraged her to pursue music. At a very young age she enrolled in music lessons and soon developed a finely tuned ear. Now, at 20 years old, she plays piano, violin, sings and writes her own music. Having played in orchestras, singing in church choirs and performing in venues throughout Malaysia and the UK, the young songstress released her first EP in February of 2016.    In Malaysia, Natallie has been featured on several radio stations including Red FM, Fly FM, Capital FM. She performed in the Star R.Age Competition in 2012 where she won the opportunity to perform at Kuala Lumpur’s annual Urbanscapes Music Festival. In 2013 she traveled to London to attend university where she will graduate with her BA in Popular Music studies in July 2016. While in the UK she has played in some of the greatest venues in Camden Town, Soho and Brighton. She has toured with UK artist Derek Darker and played for his EP “Conversations With Rose”. She has also done studio work and live performances with the US pop artist Matt Annecharico, among many others.   For her self-titled debut EP, Natallie draws inspiration from her music heroes Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, and Norah Jones. But she also draws inspiration from the things and people around her.    The unexpectedly upbeat song “Mr. Grumpy” is sure to leave a smile on your face because of the silly innocence it portrays despite the song’s title. “The song is literally about a really grumpy man I saw one day. I just imagined all the ways I would drive him crazy because I am quite a busy body sometimes” comments Natallie.  The equally upbeat song “Afraid” sheds light on many of her fears and in it we get a glimpse of Natallie’s endearing naiveté.  The calming “Rain” was inspired by one of Malaysia’s frequent rainy days and  “Safe” was written shortly after she came to the UK and experienced the feelings of longing for home but relying on her faith to pull her through. The entire EP is soothing with its piano driven riffs, which are masterfully mixed with Natallie’s pure and honest vocals.   Currently Natallie is touring around London promoting her EP. In late 2016 she will begin work on her first full-length album and will continue collaborating with other artists.
