Natalie West is a solo vocalist from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, UK.
After graduating Kidderminster College with a BTEC in Music Technology, Natalie auditioned for an independent production label in Lancashire which led to record and write original material for her own demo in 2001. Natalie began performing in and around the West Midlands and Northern England performing original material and covers. This led to being a support act for 60s artists The Ivy League and Craig Douglas.
In 2006, Natalie began a HND in Music Technology at Worcester College of Technology. Natalie met fellow singer/songwriter Raju Mali and began collaborating on original material which also led to becoming a member of the multicultural music group, The Urban Jungli Project. This included performing at Shambala Festival, The Square Festival, Wales and Bassfest@Concrete, Birmingham.
During her time at Worcester College of Technology, she created scores for Film and TV assignments and was awarded the Professional Practice Award 2007 and the Gold Award for Best Film Music Score 2008. Natalie was a member of All You Need To Gig; A team that organised music events in Worcester supporting local musicians and she got to work with Film Storyboard Artist and Director Tony Chance on a short independent film as a clapper loader and actress stand in. (His work has included American Beauty and Road to Perdition). Besides music, Natalie presented and produced her own weekly 2hr live music show ‘The Jam’ on 106.7 FM Youthcomm Radio in Worcester. Entitled ‘The Jam’ as she encouraged to ‘play every kind of music from any era’ as well as producing, creating idents / beds and providing features for the show.
Natalie has recently released her debut EP ‘Feel So Alive’. Recently the track has been featured on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Hereford and Worcester ‘Friday Session’. ‘Feel So Alive’ is now available on CDBABY and itunes.
