If there was one word that could sum up the character of Dallas based, Moving Atlas, it would be “determined”. Not only is this band a staple in the Texas music scene, they have traveled long and hard and surpassed many obstacles to get where they are today. With the untimely death of friend and former drummer, Matt Baker, in June of 2007, Moving Atlas continued on the pursuit of their ultimate dream knowing Matt wouldn’t have it any other way. One year has passed, and with the acquisition of veteran drummer, Ross Rubio, and the release of “The Elephant Gun E.P.”, Moving Atlas has become known for delivering a progressive, melodic, hard-rock punch from which, they have trademarked their own. Their live performance continues to captivate audiences far and wide, and with the right backing, the possibilities are endless for this group of friends and musicians.
