From the ashes of Hey Zeus and Catman Karl and the Low-Pop G's rose Motorboat in the winter of 2008. Bringing back material from the two previous projects of singer/guitarist Rick Hoffman and guitarist Nic Roberts the music took on a new sound with drummer Stephen Diederich's style.
