Imagine Tori Amos and Elton John Sharing the same Piano … Music has always been integral to Meredith’s life. Her father, Milton Sincoff, was a longtime executive at Arista Records & her mother played piano. Meredith tinkered at the keys as a girl, but her heart was set on being a dancer until two knee surgeries forced her to re-evaluate her career. She began focusing on music during her senior year at Sarah Lawrence College, and after graduating she continued her education by studying classical composition and music theory at the Juilliard School. Since then Meredith has developed into a seasoned artist of the New York live-performance scene & has toured thru the southwest. During a summer road trip, the one-time New Yorker traveled to Taos, N.M., where she fell in love with the mountains, the open sky, the sunsets and the creative energy. She returned the next summer and remained for 9 months to record her debut CD, “A Purple Kind of Blue,” which won the NM Music Award for Best Pop CD and was nominated for best vocal performance. Her latest album (recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Larry Mitchell), “Let it Rain,” was released in spring of 2009. It has won various awards including 3 NM Music Award nominations. One of the CD's tracks, “The Birds and the Bees,” discusses the issue of sexual assault.. Meredith has hosted 2 Benefit Concerts for RAINN and is donating part of CD proceeds to RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network). In addition to her music career, Meredith worked for many years as a talent buyer in New York promoting jazz and independent artists. She also teaches voice, piano, songwriting, music theory & Kundalini Yoga. Furthermore, she is a published poet, member of the Taos Gospel Choir and works as an actress in various local theater productions
