Meilyssia is an independent original artist who does all the vocals and electronic music. I am influenced by all types of electronica/dance, experimental,ambient, and gothic/industrial music.

I sing whenever I get the chance and it was singing and lyric writing that got me started creating music! I would hear the melodies in my head and explain to the band...this is what I am creating. However after a while of no music control I finally grabbed the reigns and learned how to utilize a korg keyboard, mixer, and music software. I found out by accident that I am good at it. I am always writing songs, sad ones, tragic loves lost, melodic and soulful music. As I am becoming braver and into my own element, I am getting more creative and free flowing. You just might not know what else to expect, because my style and genre always changes. I am surprisingly into Middle Eastern music, Reggae, and Country as well. You will hear a few country songs playing in my car on my way to work. However Industrial and Electronica is what I always return to.

I am currently working on my second CD called Into the Eclipse. My label is "Xetra Dax Syntax" which has a funny story on how I got that name. It started when I was watching telivision about the war in Iraq. This beautiful Arabic Journalist came on and underneath it revealed the name Xetra Dax. I thought this was her name and believed it to be coolest name ever! Later I found out it was actually a place in the Middle East which is cool because I love Belly Dancing and their food. I added Syntax which means words. Hence the name! Meilyssia means Honey. It is actually (Miel). Isn't that sweet? I love electronic music and I really spend my time creating as much as I can.
