About mcalisterdrive

Portrait of mcalisterdrive

McAlister Drive McAlister Drive is a Boston bred indie pop rock band with worldly influences and a natural hatred for baseball teams from the Bronx. They also happen to make stunning music with depth and balance. MD’s much anticipated second LP is expected to be released in the early fall with a new sound, new band, and new look. Recently, the Boston Globe has labelled this independent band as the Maroon 5 and 3 Doors Down of Boston. With everything new, the band expects to take over the Northeast by Christmas of 2009. Founded by lead singer Christoph Krey and strongly supported by lead guitarist Adam Richter, the band was originally called Crown. The name changed to McAlister Drive (after a street on the Tulane campus in New Orleans) following Christoph’s experiences with Hurricane Katrina. With the rhythm section held down by Berklee drummer Scott Wilson and Berklee bassist Eric Thachuk, McAlister Drive’s lineup is fully formed and ready to work. Sporting catchy pop songs with lasting hooks, McAlister Drive impresses live and on record.
