From a young age MATA has been involved in the music scene and emerged to the scene as artists in their years in rap battles in the parking lots of inner-city high schools, parties, and basketball games. “Those MAV boys”, the people called them, but their popularity expanded. When local DJs played a home recorded song called “Shoot up the Dancehall”. MATA fan base just took off. Once the song hit the house party scene in Boston the request for the song became continuous and the group began creating custom songs for parties and events. Their most recent accomplishments include Opening for acts such as Papoose, DJ Ron G, Ace Hood, Wale, Clinton sparks, Joe Buddens, and Fat Joe. Finishing second in Battle of the bands Competition at Umass Amherst, and for there growing popularity in the Boston nightlife scene. Working with marketing group Noir MATA has brought a new meaning of Partying in Boston. MATA features CEO producer and Noir marketing partner Cheez Bankroll, Shizz Money vocalist, Rood problems reputable rap battle emcee and Killa Bligg the groups DJ (hypatone MC, Noir Marketing Partner and On Deck multi media spokesman.
