Matt most often plays a blend of rock, country and blues, but has a wide range of influences including jazz, classical, bluegrass, pop, folk music, and more. Matt has played with a number of bands and groups covering a wide range of styles (including Christian Rock, Country Rock, Blues Rock, Bluegrass, and more) but most often has been a solo artist. His primary instrument is the guitar, but Matt is also able to work out basic parts on bass, keys, drums, and more. While Matt occasionally calls in a good friend to help cover a part, on most of his songs he performs all parts. Matt's blend of vintage and modern sounds finds support with a wide audience, and his down-to-earth writing style connects to the average person as he writes about things such as family, love, God, country, hard work, dreams and disappointments. Recognizing his vocal limitations, Matt not only records his own versions of songs, but is making his songs available on the market for the right artist, producer, or record label.
