I’m not sure about you, but if you’re an indie artist it is both fantastic and insane! I have the opportunity to put every ounce and any ingredient into any given tune. I’ve been taking my Thurs. mornings lately to work on my next record. It’s presently entitled “Space and Time”.

That may change, anyway.. I’ve been putting alot more “colors” into my compositions. I like it, but my fear is that I may over do it. Well.. not really a fear, I just don’t want to annoy people who presently enjoy my music.

I have several tunes in the “scratch” stage and I think things are progessing nicely. I’ve intentionally decided to take a very slow approach to this record. The last one I did in about a month and a half… the deadline was motivating, but I think the songwriting suffered some.

This time around I’m laboring over every aspect of the writing process. From the lyrics, to the melody, to the textures, etc. I have a couple of them posted presently: “Cars Are For Driving”, and “Can’t Make Ends Meet”. I’ll probably post more soon.
