Well hey there ourstage fans and friends. New month and new attitude. took a little step back from ourstage last month to see how my songs played out, voted here and there and kept up with some friends, but you definitely have to be ACTIVE on here. so with that in mind, I reworked some offensive plays here and changed up the channels that a few songs were in. Check out “On Angels Wings” in the folk category (why not right? it’s a folky song, might as well give it a run there). Also, if you are in the NYC area on November 6th around 9:15ish, come by Uncle Mike’s Bar. The address and stuff is on my ourstage profile and my myspace page (myspace.com/matthurdmusic). I will be playing for about 45 minutes or so and would love to see some smiling faces.

well, I gave it a good run. It’s about 2 hours from the close of the quarter-finals and it doesn’t look like i’m going to make it with “If hearts are meant to break” in the acoustic channel. I gave it every vote i could in the channel, all 190 battles judged (why does this guy have so much free time?). but it just wasn’t enough. I’d like to thank everyone who voted and helped me get into the position I am in today. I really appreciate the support. Good luck to everyone in October!

I sat down with my guitar and made a quick video of “Can’t Help Falling In Love”. It’s a cover of an oldie but goodie. Check it out. I know its a little rough because I just used my camera on my computer, but I think it gets the point across. Good luck to everyone the rest of this month in the competitions!
