At the age of 4 he was formally introduced to the world of sports. Baseball, basketball, football were among the favorites of the young athletic child. He became very competitive at every sport he played and began to be under the eye of sports scouts around the age of 12, after a move to the south side Englewood/Auburn Gresham area of Chicago. At the age of 14, Eric became interested in expressing himself by writing rhymes as a hobby, but his attention was primarily focused on his fresh recruit to the prominent high school Morgan Park. Like most young men, Eric found himself drawn to the wrong crowd and mischievous activities. By the age of 16, he began to drift in and out different high schools due to unfortunate events. Music and sports were his positive escapes from the many other troubles he faced. Despite odds being against him, he reached his goal of graduating on time and began to think about the type of future he wanted to have once he discovered he had a daughter on the way. He buckled down and started on a straight and narrow path of obtaining a traditional job and pursuing a technical trade school. Trade school was completed but he felt there was more out there for him to do. He pursued different degrees but always ended up going back to his 1st love……music.
Marz Millionz is a very talented and unique artist who has happened to move people with his many different and versatile music styles, tricky wordplay, expanded vocabulary, and story telling abilities. Overall he is considered a hip hop/rap artist but has happened to expand over into the R&B and pop genres and provide music for all types. He has continued producing great music and working hard to become the best artist he can, and continue providing a high quality listening experience for his fans and new listeners. Outside of his solo recording projects, he has also taken on the heavy responsibility of advancing himself as an audio engineer and songwriter. As of 2011 he has worked with plenty of different artist in different genres and looks forward to networking with plenty of more artist and new music acts.
He currently has a solo project entitled ‘Welcome 2 Marz’ which was his first mixtape debut released on December 15, 2010 and is looking forward to releasing plenty more new projects in the time to come.
