"The journey through my nineteen years of life have often seemed chaotic, sporadic, or even quixotic. Life seems to unravel when I have needed order the most; through cancer, triple by-passes, or the passing of loved ones. For the majority of my life, these have been very real unpredictable outcomes that are necessitated through merely existing. However, when the world seems to be at its darkest and coldest, I have found one thing to provide order to the bedlam: music. Music provides a structure to that which seems to have no coherent order. Without music, my life would have no arrangement, no melody, no beat to give a foundation upon which to stand through the obstacles of life. This, I believe, is why I have been thrown into this world; that is, to spread my music and gift to those who need it the most. Music has broken-down the walls in my own life, and I know it can and will do the same for others in similar harrowing situations. I have often thought of what a world without music would be like; the footsteps on the sidewalk would carry no beat, the birds singing in the morning would never know harmony, and the laughter of a child would simply go unnoticed. What a boring world we would live in."- Marnie This 19 year old talented vocalist was born in Independence, MO and resides in Oak Grove, MO. Marnie is Currently working on her first albumn set to be released in 2010. This talented vocalist has been singing since she was able to talk. Shortly after she began speaking, her mother said that music was her second language and this is where and when the dream began. Marnie would hum along to everything she heard musically and at the young age of eleven, she began singing on stage and in front of an audience. With her smooth, soulful and powerful vocal licks, it is easy to see that Marnie is a natural, with so much passion to share with her listeners. Her training includes: Donna Hodson – vocal instructor Julie Amons – vocal instructor Suzanne Blanch – vocal instructor Lesa Monet - vocal instructor & artist development Her performance experience includes: School talent shows School choir Starz Studio of Performing Arts Competitions including the Fine Arts Festivals via New Life Church New Life Church Choir Placing second in the Chicago Nationals with Starz Studio of Performing Arts “Music with Monet” Artist Development & Productions, showcases Marnie is still with “Music with Monet” Artist Development & Productions studio with Lesa Monet. Her ambition and goal in the music industry, is to inspire people to believe in music as much as she does, moving them through meaningful lyrics, beautiful music and the colors of her voice. Some of Marnie’s influences are: Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin, Natalie Maines, David Cook, & Pink.
