Mark Rocquemore is an upcoming artist who is bridging the gap between Soul, Pop, and R&B. With a strong vocal delivery, pin point accurate harmonies, and detailed production, Mark Rocquemore is leaving his footprint on the music industry. Mark’s singing career began at the age of three. Mark sung regularly in his church choir and at various local churches. Mark, throughout his tenure in school has sung in a multitude of programs and for several organizations and won many talent shows before the age of ten. Mark worked with and received vocal instruction from Buffalo Music Hall of Fame member Rodney Applebye. Mark created the singing group Divine (Rechard Walker and Michael Burton), who at a young age performed throughout Buffalo, NY. By the time Mark reached high school, he and his group learned to work in a recording studio, under the direction of Tony Johnson (C.E.O., Behind The Scenes and Former Bass Player of Kool and the Gang). During this time, Mark had the opportunity to do studio work with Kevin Scott (Joe Public). Mark has had the opportunity to perform with Cris Joyce and Aaron Williams (Pecooliar). Mark has met and/or opened for artists such as: Ben Tankard, Greg O’Quinn and Joyful Noise, Lakita Garth, Marvin Sapp, Mase, Martin Paulk, and Bishop Mac and Brenda Timberlake (Christian Faith Center). Mark has sung at various nightclubs, events and performed intros for various local radio stations and well known DJ’s (H Vidal) throughout the US. In January 2010, Mark Rocquemore released “What Would You Do?” his debut full length album. Mark is a very talented musician and excellent vocalist, whose cutting edge style will raise the standard and break common trends in the music industry.
