Los Angeles, CA-March 23, 2009-Margo Reymundo had a dream to release a collection of songs that would abundantly reflect who she was. With references to legendary figures such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn being made, any astute music listener can envision what Margo presents on her new recording.
With the release of My Heart’s Desire the promising diva decided to give her music a name because of the vast influences such as jazz, Brazilian, Latin, and pop. The music that fills the new CD is dubbed “Organica”.
Margo’s burgeoning love for music goes back to when she was 11. The Acapulco born, Dallas raised singer set off on a sojourn for many years to study classical voice, harmony study, and ear training, and she later competed with classical pieces in college. While developing her passion for everything from traditional jazz to bossa nova, cha cha and 70s pop/rock, she rapidly became an admired Broadway and off-Broadway stage performer in NYC in shows like Saturday Night Fever, Selena Forever and Latin Heat.
The recording studio became a natural process for Margo because of the broad scope of experience behind her. Complementing her wondrous arrangements of “You Belong To Me,” “Wrapped Around Your Finger” and “Ain’t No Sunshine,” are a long list of seasoned musicians with impressive resumes. With Margo’s stellar backing and sensual and expressive vocals, it is no wonder the new release is catching fire so quickly.
Margo commented-“To me, the biggest gift of My Heart’s Desire was just discovering my ability to produce and arrange an album on my own terms, my own way.” That puts everything into proper perspective for the artist and her listeners.
